Stroll along the beautiful California shoreline, where you’ll find colorful rides for all ages, delicious food, and exciting carnival games. There is a convenient parking lot just a few steps away from the Boardwalk itself as well as a variety of hotels within walking distance.
Our biggest tip is to purchase an unlimited All Day Rides Wristband before you arrive, which you can find on the official website for the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. This allowed us to check out all of the attractions as many times as we wanted, keeping us busy throughout the entire day. You also save a few dollars by purchasing this wristband in advance. There are a wide variety of attractions available, from calm to thrilling to just plain silly!
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk features the historic Looff Carousel, which first opened in 1911. This unique carousel is both a ride and a game! Riders on the outside loop of horses can test their skills by grabbing a metal ring from an automated dispenser and trying to toss them into a clown’s mouth. We loved it so much that we actually rode it three times during our visit.
