Magic Bands have finally arrived at Disneyland after being a staple of Walt Disney World vacations for years! Before you purchase your own Magic Band Plus, here’s what you need to know.
1. Magic Bands have limited functions: As of October 2022, they can only be used to scan into a Park, link photos with a Photopass photographer, scan into a Lightning Lane, which can all be done with the existing Disneyland app instead.
2. You need them for some magic! You will need a Magic Band to play the Batuu Bounty Hunter Game in Galaxy’s Edge and to enjoy special lighting features during Nighttime spectaculars.
3. Bring a charger! Magic Bands do not come fully charged, so we recommend these Anker Power Banks. They are compact, and can charge multiple devices at the same time.

4. Prices may vary! Different styles of Magic Bands have different prices, so keep that in mind before you choose one. You can also purchase them on Shop Disney if you’d like!
